Community Group Questions
Apostles’ Creed series – Week 9: July 20, 2025
“I believe in the holy spirit”
1. Where have you seen the Holy Spirit at work in your life—bringing order out of chaos, illuminating truth, or giving you strength in weakness?
Follow-up: What’s an area in your life right now that still feels chaotic, confusing, or powerless? How might you invite the Spirit into that space?
2. We often live like “spiritual orphans,” feeling like it’s all on us. In what areas of your life do you feel most alone or under pressure to figure it out?
Follow-up: How does the Spirit’s presence—His role as our Helper—speak to that today?
3. What does it look like to be a “Spirit-empowered church” rather than just a church with good sermons or music?
Follow-up: How can we as a community make more room for the Spirit’s presence when we gather?
4. The sermon mentioned the growing trend of people replacing theology with ideology. How have you seen that tension play out—in your own life or in our culture?
Follow-up: Why is it vital that our lives and beliefs are shaped by the Spirit—not just by our preferences or opinions?
5. Which part of the Spirit’s work resonated with you most today—bringing order, bringing light, confirming your identity, empowering your mission? Why that one?
Follow-up: How might your life change if you more fully trusted the Spirit in that area?
6. Let’s end with this: What would it look like for you to live this week as someone deeply aware of and dependent on the Holy Spirit?
Follow-up: As a group, let’s cup our hands (like in the service) and pray aloud or silently:
Come, Holy Spirit—rest on us. Fill us. Empower us. We want more of You.
